TRI-FLEX® SLINGS

A Tri-Flex®  Wire Rope Sling is constructed of a continuous single wire rope. This wire rope is braided back three times in an eye and eye configuration.

* Sizes up to 6" in finished diameter with a breaking strength of 1,150 tons.

TRI-FLEX®  SLING SYSTEM

The Tri-Flex®  Sling System consists of three Tri-Flex®  slings woven together to form one large lift sling. After the big lift is done, these slings can be disassembled and used for smaller lifts.

* Sizes up to 3000 ton breaking strength.

BENEFITS

  • Lightweight. compared to wire rope slings of similar capacity. Less labor is required to handle slings on the job.
  • Flexible. Triple the flexibility of standard wire rope slings. Easier to work with, will work where other slings may not, and once again, a real labor saver.
  • Ergonomic. Reduces fatigue and risk of injury to workers, making your skilled riggers more productive, more often.
  • Versatile. System allows one sling to be used in many different applications. Saves money because you don’t have to buy as many slings.

Readily Available. We fabricate on demand. Most orders ship the day you order them, allowing you to better manage your cash flow and react quickly to changes in your workload.

The Tri-Flex® Sling System allows the purchase of multiple part slings for big lifts which can easily be taken apart to provide slings for smaller lifts or for storage.

TWIN-PATH®  and TWIN-PATH EXTRA®  SLINGS

  • Slings are constructed of Polyester load carrying yarns.
  • The load carrying yarns are protected by two independent, seamless, color coded, polyester covers.

  • The outer orange cover protects the internal red cover. These covers function as an early warning system. When the outer cover is cut, the red inner cover instantly becomes visible providing the sling user with a visual alert to remove the sling from service. Only Twin-Path provides such a warning and inspection mechanism.

  • The sling cover is fabricated in such a way that it is actually two complete and separate slings in one. Each path makes its own separate connection between the lifting hook and the load. This unique back up system is designed to provide the sling user with sufficient reaction time to maintain control of the load if damage to one of the paths went undetected. The sling can effectively be cut halfway through and still control the load.

Tell-Tails provide a simple means of inspection, and function as an overload indicator. All slings are fabricated with extensions of the core fiber that show beyond the tag. Before using the sling check that both Tell-Tails are showing. If one or both of the tails have less than ˝"visible, or are chemically degraded, remove the sling from service.

Fiber Optics is an option used to inspect the condition of the load carrying yarns. Usually one optical fiber made of polyethylene is inserted in one path of the sling. To inspect a sling equipped with fiber optics, simply allow light to pass through it.

BENEFITS OF TWIN PATH SLINGS

  • Ease of Inspection. The two independent covers, along with the tell tales and optional fiber optics makes it easy to determine if sling should be kept in service.

  • Safe in Use. Tests have shown that Twin-Path®  Slings do not recoil at break thereby eliminating the devastating whiplash effects characteristic of chain, wire rope, synthetic web and rope.

  • Patented Back-Up Protection. Twin-Path®   Slings are actually two complete and separate slings in one. We do not recommend the use of damaged slings, but chances are good that if damage to one of the paths went undetected that, unlike web slings or round slings. you would have sufficient reaction time to maintain control of the load. Only Twin-Path®  provides this security.

  • Lightweight. The Ultimate Lifting Sling: Provides the strength of steel without the drawbacks of weight, corrosion, and conductivity.

  • Tremendous Labor Savings. Time is money. The ease of handling ultra-light Twin-Path®  Slings adds up to substantial labor savings, each and every time the sling is used. There is no need to have an extra crane, forklift or personnel to handle heavy slings.

  • Superior Abrasion Resistance. Twin-Path®   and Twin-Path®  Extra Slings have orange outer covers that are 100% polyester. These seamless covers are specially woven to provide superior abrasion resistance. Tuff-Path®  and Tuff-Path®  Extra Slings have all the features of Twin-Path®  and Twin-Path Extra and more. They have gray outer covers made from Dupont Cordura®  which are a minimum four times more abrasion resistant than polyester or nylon. Tuff-Path®  Slings put a Cordura®  wear pad in contact with the load at all times. Tuff-Path®  Slings out last all other synthetic slings. So when abrasion and longevity are a consideration, choose Tuff-Path®  and Tuff-Path®  Extra Slings.
  • Space Saver. Sometimes space is a scarce commodity. Storage problems are easily resolved as Twin-Path®  Slings require substantially less space to store than the cumbersome wire rope slings and chain slings that they replace.
  • Maintenance Free. Twin-Path®  Slings, unlike wire rope and chain, do not require lubrication or reannealing.
  • Versatility. Twin-Path®  Slings are easily used in all three sling hitches, choker, vertical and basket. Choking loads is no longer a chore. Hitching is made easy because of the free form, and supple body of  Twin-Path®  Extra Slings.  You will never experience "choke-lock" when disengaging the sling from the load.
  • Ergonomics. Ergonomics is the study of how tools and machines can produce more  work with less injury and fatigue. The ergonomic benefits of Twin-Path®  slings include less weight, increased maneuverability, reduced strain on personnel and less labor required to complete projects.
  • Use-Cost advantages of Twin-Path slings are fewer man-hours required rigging a lift, less and smaller equipment required to transport slings, longer working life than wire rope or round slings, and reduced sling inventory.
  • Readily Available. We fabricate on demand. You’ll be surprised how quickly we ship your order. This allows you to better manage your cash flow and react quickly to changes in your workload.
