Product Overview
Simpson Strong-Tie® Drop-in™ anchor, short threaded, 3/8 in bolt/rod, 3/8-16, carbon steel, 1/2 in drill, 1-9/16 in minimum embedment depth, 1/4 in thread length, UNC, 3/4 in OAL, 410 at 3,000 psi for concrete shear strength, 335 lb at 3,000 psi for concrete tensile, zinc plated. Drop-in™ anchors are internally threaded Drop-in™ expansion anchors for use in flush-mount applications in solid base materials. Available in stainless steel (dia), short (dias) or coil-thread (diac) versions. Minimum thread engagement should be equal to the nominal dia of the threaded insert.
Features
- Lipped edge (DIAS) eliminates need for precisely drilled hole depth
- Available in coil-thread version for 1/2 in and 3/4 in coil-threaded rod
- Short length (DIAS) enables shallow embedment to help avoid drilling into rebar or pre-stressed/post-tensioned cables
- Short drop-in anchors include a setting tool compatible with the anchor to ensure consistent installation
- Anchor body meets minimum 70000 psi tensile
- Expander plug meets minimum 50000 psi tensile strength
- A dedicated setting tool is included
- 2600 to 2700° F freezing/melting point
- The allowable loads are based on a safety factor of 4
- Allowable loads may not be increased for short-term loading due to wind or seismic forces
- Anchors were installed with a 1 in offset from the centerline of the flute
