SpecSeal® firestop sealant, 2-stage intumescent, series: SSS series, pail container, 5 gal container, latex/water base, composition: aluminum trihydrate, sulfuric acid compound with graphite, proprietary acrylic copolymer in aqueous dispersion and crystalline silica, paste form, fire rating: 4 hr, red, mild acrylic odor/scent, -10 to 185°F, 1.24 specific gravity, 608°F flash point, 8.3 ph, 29.2 g/l VOC, applicable materials: metal and plastic. Patented two stage intumescent technology. Easily works into tight spaces between penetrants. Compatible with CPVC piping. Can be sanded and painted to match its surroundings. Water based easy installation, cleanup and disposal. Two stage intumescence extremely fast and directionalized expansion. Endothermic fillers absorb heat and release water. High solids formula minimal shrinkage. Water-resistant will not re-emulsify when dry. Safe for contact with plastics. Red color easy identification and inspection. Multi-viscosity grade excellent caulking properties along with high build capabilities. Excellent smoke seal. Safe, no asbestos, no PCB, no inorganic fibers. Non-halogenated.
