DBI'S ULTRA-LOK™ RSQ SELF RETRACTING LIFELINE WITH RESCUE available at Hanes Supply!
The World’s First Dual-Mode Self Retracting Lifeline with Fall Arrest and Rescue. An exclusive dual-mode operation allows the user, prior to connection, to choose between fall arrest requiring assisted rescue, or self rescue. This two-in-one operation allows the device to be optimized for the jobsite while providing the
ultimate level of worker safety.
After setting the device mode, should a fall occur, the following will happen:
- Fall Arrest Mode (Assisted Rescue): A speed sensing brake stops the fall, reduces forces imposed on the user to safe levels of 900 lbs. or less and allows for assisted rescue to take place.
- Automatic Rescue Mode (Self Rescue/Descent): A speed sensing brake stops the fall just like in fall arrest mode, then instantly a centrifugal brake activates lowering the user at a controlled speed to the next level or ground.

Most synthetic sling accidents are caused by cutting. There are many kinds of protective sleeves and pads available, but only two synthetic protectors provide adequate cut protection: CornerMax pads and CornerMax sleeves. They have been engineered and tested to provide 25,000 lbs. of protection per inch of sling width (4464 kg per centimeter of sling width). CornerMax pads are designed for 90° straight edges. CornerMax sleeves are for other edges – curved, rough, or irregular – and are the protection of choice for I-beams. For synthetic slings, the most critical decision is whether cut protection is needed.
