Hanes Supply, Inc and Engineered Lifting Technologies received a request from a customer to work with them on a complicated lift plan with an aggressive delivery schedule. The customer wanted to lift a 59 ft diameter rebar mat design weighing approximately 90,000 lb each in a single pick. The three rebar mats made of # 8 and # 14 rebar (hand tied) were designed to plug 3 different 60’diameter shafts with a 1500CY concrete tremie pour at the bottom of a 120 ft deep shaft filled with water.
